About Us: The Legacy of Duane Dwyer

Duane Dwyer's journey into knife making is deeply rooted in science, military background, and martial arts, particularly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This diverse expertise has profoundly influenced his approach to crafting tools that embody patience, knowledge, and an understanding of human attributes in combat and everyday carry. At Dwyer Custom Shoppe, we believe that on any given day, our products cannot be made better, scientifically speaking.

With a focus on function, materials, and metallurgy, Duane is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in all things metal and knife materials related. His work, often in collaboration with Mick Strider, has set new benchmarks in the industry, putting evolved tools into the hands of warfighters and discerning collectors alike.

Dwyer Custom Goods also proudly features the work of Sheila Anders-Stronegger (Mrs. Dwyer), who began her knife apprenticeship in 2009 alongside Duane Dwyer and other industry notables. Sheila's meticulously crafted blades, often smaller and with a subtly feminine influence, are designed to be both beautiful and formidable – concealable, hard-use, and capable tools. She prioritizes Damascus and SM-100 steels, ensuring her handmade pieces bear the distinguished DCG name.
